Ode to a Puppy and then a Giraffe

You came into our house as a bundle of fun. Kept Mom (myself) and Dad (Bruce) busy and always on the run. We named you Whiskey and you are very friskey.

You are growing so fast, already a pound you have gained in not quite 2 weeks since coming to stay. Dear puppy don't grow too fast cause I will miss that soft little ball of fuzz.

Yes, Bruce and I bought a puppy for Christmas. He is cute and full of personality. He is a quick learner and is working on the sit and stay. He loves to hide in his kennel and try to chew on everything at least one time. It has been ever so much fun to play and cuddle with him. Another perk is that now when I am talking out loud to myself I can say I am actually just talking to the puppy :).

Amazingly enough, it snowed on Christmas. I made the rounds to the families houses with Whiskey in tow and while Bruce was out operating the snow plow at work.

Whiskey was very well behaved and snuggled with Grandma Mace for about 45 minutes while she was watching Green Acres.

From fluffy stuffed cuddly ones, to the cute paper towel holder that Aunt Catherine got me, to the awesome figurines from my mother-in-law and sister. What I love most of all was the cute pictures that my nieces and nephews colored and drew for me and Bruce of giraffes. It was very thoughtful of them and I was able to proudly display them first on my fridge and now at work. Last but not least my presents were rounded out by crafts that I have received :) Love you Mom!!! Boy do you know that I need to detox from work and this will help me tremendously.
