Big Ideas

One of my many dreams when I was young was to be able to drive a back hoe. We would play with our little one in the sand box/garden and I thought it would be great fun to be able to work the regular one. Today at work they were tearing up part of the parking lot and I mentioned to one of my employees about my big idea and she sent me the following....

Men, take this as a lesson from mom and girls, you gotta love it!

Today's Inspirational Lesson
Never irritate a woman, who can operate a backhoe...

Women are Angels...And when someone breaks our wings...

We simply continue to fly....on a broomstick...
We are flexible like that...

As of the last little while....

I have been using my favorite crutches once again for the last 2 weeks. Dr Thomas tried to get the screws out of my ankle, which were coming out on their own, but of course Catherine had to be difficult. The screws wouldn't budge so he reamed them out about 1/4 inch below the surface of the bone and took the washers off as well. Bruce told me that he could have done a better job.

Overall I am doing okay now. Still soar and the fact that we have been having crappy weather doesn't help any. We had almost an inch of snow today....joy of joys.

Visitors

After returning from California Mom and I were blessed to have Amy, Emma, Eli, and Maylee come to our house for a week. We love it when there are such cute and wonderful people come to see you.

We had several great outings including going to the planetarium, glow in the dark miniature golfing, and bowling.
Emma, Kaylee, and Eli--the professional bowlers. I love these kids. They played together so well together and were great entertainment for the adults. I do miss them a lot now that they are gone.

California-- There I Went...

April was a month of refreshing faces. Mom and I went to California for 5 days to visit Natalie. It was rather chilly and cold but we did get one good day at Crystal Cove. We played in the tide pools there and found hermit crabs, mussels out the yazoo, and Mom found a star fish. This was a fabulous vacation because I got a nap every day and came back to work well rested.

We ate really good food and had lots of junk. Most especially we had donuts from Randy's Donuts in LA. If you are in the area stop and get one. They are a must.

In Ramona we went on walks in the rain. The area is beautiful and it was tempting to spend all day in doors but then I would have gotten cabin fever.

Our spirits were revived as we attended both the LA Temple and the San Diego Temple. I love beautiful architecture and landscape work and these two temples were exquisite.
