Procrastination Halted

Last night a huge thunderstorm came through and it was fun to sit and listen to the hail, rain, and thunder rolling off the mountain. However, it was about 2 a.m. when all of this was happening and I wasn't asleep. Major insomnia last night....not good.

So, I was productive to some extent and I finished binding a quilt that I started a while back.

Almost One Month

Despite the dreary rain we are having I am working on my postitive outlook. Yesterday we had snow here at work and I was so sad about how anti-spring it was outside.

It is amazing how large events tend to roll together and make time move faster. For example, I have been married for almost one month, Bruce has a job here in town so I will actually see him on a regular basis, Davey may have a new job closer to us here in Utah which means more time with his family and having Amy around to be my pal, and Natalie is going back to school (in a couple months).

Change is a constant in life however it is not extremely easy for me to accept at times. Every Christmas gets a little less "traditional" and I miss sleeping over at Grandma's, having all the family at home, spending time eating carmel corn, watching all of our movies that we got as presents, and coloring in our new coloring books. I appreciate the new but my goal is to blend it with the old in a better fashion. Who knows how things will end up, but it is definitely interesting to be along for the ride.

Wedding Day

To start with, I wanted to take a moment to highlight the great people who helped to make our wedding extra special and a wonderful occasion.

1- Our family-- Mom's & Dad's, Natalie, Davey, Amy, Celeste, Jason, Brent, Brandon, Morgan, & Dillon. Our Grandparents on both sides. Cousins, Aunts & Uncles, Nieces & Nephews.

2-Our friends-- Yes Minna, I am putting you in this category though you truly belong in both. Jessica, Rhett, Kathrine, Heather, Shar, etc. I am sorry if I missed anyone.

----These are our cute nieces and nephews...Emma (7), Kaylee (6), Eli (5), Caleb (2), and Maylee ( 8 months).----

We invited 55 to the temple for the sealing and then there were 80 people at the dinner afterwards at Iron Gate Grill. Thank you once again for all of your love and support in all we have done and all we will venture forward to do. Our intention was to keep things small but our family means so much to us that the numbers continued to grow and grow as we realized we were trying to not miss anyone in our listing efforts.

So, as I promised I am posting a few pictures for your viewing pleasure. I am extremely grateful that all turned out well in the end. Bruce and I were ready for a nap and headed off on a 2 night honeymoon before he had to leave to go out of town for work.

The weather was nice for the wedding day, chilly but not raining like it has been for so much of April.

Now our life together is moving forward. I am working and Bruce is working, both jobs are blessings in disguise. More news will continue to follow.

It is official....

I wanted to let the world know that I am officially married. It seems rather surreal at the moment but I am sure I will get used to it given some time. Bruce and I were married last Saturday in Logan and everyone was so pleasant and kind. Pictures will be coming soon.

Me at the Fair

You may never guess how old I really am, but sometimes the kid just crops up and you have to go with it. So here is the hard evidence.

Weekend Getaway

Bruce took me on an adventure on Saturday. We went four wheeling up through Mantua Canyon. It was beautiful, gorgeous, splendiforous, etc. Also, there was a spring up there that came directly out from an aquafore and it was fantastic water.

So, I thought I would put some pictures up for everyone to see the beauty.

If you ever want an awe inspiring view and you aren't able to make it to my happy haunting grounds down by Jacob Lake this would be a good stand by.

The Beginning of the End

Well, after a very productive weekend...the basement is one step closer to being finished.

First we painted the ceiling on Saturday and worked on the trim. We being Mom and I.

Then on Monday I back taped the place and Mom went to town painting the walls. It looks and smells wonderful downstairs. I still have to clean the floor up and take care of a few touch up spots but overall we are winding down. Oh, what a project this has been over the last three years. I don't know what I will be on to next but there is always something that I could do.
